Gungroo
Ghunghroo is a small percussion instrument used in traditional Indian dance forms such as Kathak, Bharatanatyam, Odissi, and folk dances. It consists of a set of small metallic bells, made of brass, copper or bronze, that are tied together on a string or cloth pad. When worn around the ankles or wrists, the dancer creates rhythmic sounds by striking or shaking the ghungroo, enhancing the percussive element of the dance performance.Ghunghroo is primarily used as an accessory in traditional Indian dance forms. The sound produced by the ghungroo adds a percussive element to the dance, accentuating the beats and rhythm of the accompanying music.
